Start here: What is ArkLaTex Adventure Club?

Hello and welcome! My name is Nichole and I’m really glad that you’re here. Whether you just found me through the KTBS podcast or stumbled across my website, I’m so glad you’re here. This is ArkLaTex Adventures, a regional travel site that helps you explore the best of Texarkana, the ArkLaTex, and beyond.

What is the ArkLaTex?

I have to confess, I had to learn. My family and I moved to the area in 2014 from Iowa, and everything was new to us. So, I learned what it meant and I learned to love it, choosing to bloom where I was planted. What is the ArkLaTex? It’s a geographic area in the southern United States that includes ARKansas, LouisianA and TEXas. My split city of Texarkana sits right at the heart of the region. For my ArkLaTex Adventure Club, I also include southeastern Oklahoma because there are lots of gems there as well.

Who am I?

I’m Nichole, an adventure mom, homeschooler, road tripper, and big fan of quirky roadside attractions. I’ve worked as a content creator in the travel and homeschool space on my Luckey Wanderers website and Coleyraeh Instagram page since 2018. In 2022, I decided that I wanted to take that skillset to my own neighborhood. I wanted to help show to the world why I love where I live. So, I started this blog to share the joy I’ve found in exploring our corner of the world. Additionally, I hope to inspire locals and travelers alike to love the ArkLaTex.

What started as a passion project, my ArkLaTex Adventure Club has turned into a growing community. It includes locals and travelers alike, who want to spend more time outside, more time together, and more time discovering hidden gems in the ArkLaTex.

What is the ArkLaTex Adventure Club?

At it’s most basic definition, the ArkLaTex Adventure Club is a Facebook group that stemmed from my social media pages. It’s a community of passionate explorers, who want to highlight the fun and exciting things to do and see across the four states area. It’s free, open to everyone, and everyone is welcome there. We’re at nearly 2000 members and growing quickly. I would love to invite you to be a part of our movement.

Let’s wonder well and love where we live.

ArkLaTex Adventures isn’t just about what to do. It’s a mindset and a choice. It’s about seeing the wonder while we wander, about building memories, finding the beauty in every town, and embracing adventure close to home. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in good company. Thanks for being here. I hope you’ll stay a while. ~ Nichole
