It’s the second most wonderful time of the year: fall! The weather is cooling down and it’s time to think about pumpkins, leaf peeping, costumes, fun, and gratitude. Autumn is our favorite time of year and there are lots of fun activities to do and things to explore. Some of the best fall attractions around Texarkana will be open for the season. These events have something for everyone and are mostly family friendly. The only exception is the scary things category, which includes haunted maze attractions. Fall attractions around Texarkana: Pumpkin Patches and Farms.
You can’t think of fall without also thinking about pumpkins, pumpkin patches, hayrack rides and fun photo ops. These are the best fall farms and pumpkin patches around Texarkana. Let me know if there are any that I missed!
The Pumpkin Patch at Williams.
The pumpkin patch at William Memorial United Methodist Church is a classic. It’s one of the most beloved fall attractions around Texarkana! You’ll find some beautiful pumpkins at this spot. The pumpkins are brought in by the truckloads and laid throughout the front lawn of the church property. There are cute photo ops throughout and it’s a great spot to go to year after year. Look for the patch to be set up towards the beginning of October. Williams Memorial UMC is located at 4000 Moores Lane, Texarkana, TX 75503.
Little Country Greenhouse.
Little Country Greenhouse is a charming place to visit all year round, but especially in autumn. It’s easily once of the best fall attractions around Texarkana and also a great place to pick up pumpkins. They have a huge variety of pumpkins, in all sizes, shapes and colors. Little Country Greenhouse also has gourds, gorgeous mums, and even more fall decor and plants. There are adorable photo ops all around the property that are free to use. Spring Lake Park, Texarkana – Fall Market and Movies.
During September and October the Texarkana, Texas Farmer’s Market will be holding their fall market on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 PM. The Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting movies in the park on Saturdays in October, with a full fall festival on October 17th. See the schedule below and make some plans to enjoy some fun and some spooky movies. The movies begin when the sun goes down on Saturdays, around 6:45 PM.

Dixie Maze Farms.
This fall fun farm is a little over an hour away near Shreveport, Louisiana. Dixie Maze Farms is a great fall attraction around Texarkana that’s fun for all ages. Fall fest runs from September 28 to November 2nd, 2024. You’ll find all kinds of fall fun on this farm, including a corn maze, pig races, slides, corn cannons, cow train, tractor rides, barn swing and so more. On Friday and Saturday nights the corn maze transforms into a haunted maze for fright nights. Dixie Maze Farms is located at 9596 Sentell Road, Shreveport, LA 71107.
Miracle Farm and Market.
This fun family farm has a wonderful market in the summer time. They also sell farm raised beef all year long. In the autumn they open for select dates for a fall festival. Fall family fun days are October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.
Suzanne’s Fruit Farm Fall Fest.
Suzanne’s is a charming fruit farm located in Hampton, Arkansas and about a two hour drive from Texarkana. During the summer months they are a you pick farm for a variety of fruits including blueberries, plums, peaches and more. The farm is also a fall family fun attraction. During late September to the end of October you can enjoy a corn maze, hay ride, hay climb, pumpkins, and much more. Visit their website for more information.
Piney Park.
Pine Park is one of the premiere adventure farms in the area and easily one of the best fall attractions around Texarkana. It’s located in Marshall, Texas, about an hour and a half drive from Texarkana. They have events for many major holidays, including Easter and Christmas. In the autumn months, Pine Park opens for their fall festival. Opening weekend is September 27 to 29th. There are lots of fun attractions including a huge set of slides, jumping pillows, a spooky trail, a pumpkin patch, a cow train, food trucks, and more!
- Hours are Tuesday to Friday 5 to 9 PM
- Saturday hours are 10 AM to 9 PM.
- Admission is $14.99 per person.

Motley’s Pumpkin Patch.
If you’re looking for some of the best fall attractions around Texarkana that are a little bit bigger and a little bit farther, check out Motley’s Pumpkin Patch in Little Rock. There is something for everyone to enjoy at this fall farm, with pumpkins and gourds of all types as well. You can enjoy hayrides, pig races, a farm zoo, a mega slide, kids corn maze, and lots of fun photo opportunities.
- The season begins at the end of September and runs to the end of October.
- Hours are Thursday and Friday 1 PM to 5 PM (last entry at 4 PM).
- Weekends are 9 AM to 6 PM.
- General admission is $12.95 per person, 65 and up and 3 and under are free.

Garner Homestead Family Farm.
Garner Homestead Family Farm is also about two hours from Texarkana, near Hot Springs in Lonsdale, Arkansas. This farm features 20 acres of attractions including hiking trails, a pumpkin patch, corn fields, farm animals, and photo op spots.
- The season opens the beginning of October but check their website for schedule updates.
- Hours are Tuesday to Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM.
Calie’s Acre.
An hour and a half away, this fun fall farm is located in Gilmer, Texas. Calie’s Acre is a fall attraction that features a pumpkin patch, pumpkin story time, jumping area, spider web, hayride, playground, barrel train and more! Admission is $10 and includes everything except gemstone mining which is an extra fee. Follow their Facebook page for updates. A tip: they have a sunflower field and photographers can book slots to take pictures with clients!
Magic Springs Fall Festival.
Magic Springs theme park in Hot Springs transforms in Magic Screams on the weekends in the fall! This is one of the best fall attractions around Texarkana and it’s only a two hour drive to Hot Springs. The theme park transforms on the weekends from September 27th to October 27th. During the daytime hours it’s family friendly autumn fun, but the evening hours turns spooky with Fright Nights. The family friendly attractions include costume contests, trick or treating, and crafts like pumpkin painting. The Fright Nights start when the sun sets and the haunted attractions begin with rides in the dark, scary actors, and more! Follow their Facebook page for hours and updates.
Howl-O-Ween – Little Rock Zoo.
During select Saturday’s in the month of October the Little Rock Zoo offers a daytime fall event called Howl-O-Ween. Zoo patrons are invited to wear their best costumes and enjoy trick or treating, special rides, a magic show and more. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

- It is included with zoo admission.
- Kids and adults 13 and up are $12.95 per person, ages 3 to 12 are $9.95 per person. Children under 3 are free.

Yesterland Farm.
This spot is a a little farther away but undoubtedly one of the very best fall attractions around Texarkana. Yesterland Farm is located in Canton, Texas, about two and half hours from Texarkana. It’s worth planning a weekend getaway to enjoy this epic fall farm and adventure fest. The autumn fun runs from September 14th to November 3rd. Yesterland Farm has everything. There is a you pick sunflowers and zinnias area, a huge variety of rides and attractions, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, pig races, and incredible food and drinks. Looking for more adventure? Plus, you’ll find great photo ops all over the property. When the sun goes down the park turns spooky, but not the blood and gore variety. Fall attractions around Texarkana: Scary things.
If you’re brave and looking to have a fright, there are a few scary attractions around the ArkLaTex. These are the haunted, creepy, kooky and spooky things to do.
Dancing Ranch Farm.
This is one of the only scary attractions close to Texarkana. Dancing Ranch Farm is a located in Fouke, Arkansas and one of the only haunted houses in the area. Follow their Facebook page for updates on the 2024 season.
The Haunt at Bearden.
The Haunt at Bearden is a haunted house attraction in Bearden, Arkansas. It is just under two hours from Texarkana and promises a super scary, Halloween experience. Follow their Facebook page for season updates.
Fright by Night at Magic Springs.
The theme park in Hot Springs, Arkansas turns spooky after dark on select dates in October.
Thomas Falls – zipline through the zombies.
For something really out of the ordinary, check out Thomas Falls in Diana, Texas. At this fall attraction you can zipline over zombies! Thomas Falls is open during the day time for a “kinda scary” experience that dials back the fright. At night, you can enjoy the zipline, a creatures maze, a mystery barn, and a mausoleum. Diana, Texas is about an hour and half from Texarkana.

Dark Woods Adventure Park.
This attraction is as scary as it gets. Dark Woods Adventure Park in Natchitoches, Louisiana is consistently rated one of the most scary Halloween attractions. It is around a two and a half hour drive from Texarkana. But if you’re looking for extreme scare levels, this is it. Here are other things to do in Natchitoches while you’re there.

There are so many fun fall things to do in Texarkana and the surrounding four states area. I’ve tried to include things in southwest , south, and central Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, east Texas, and southeast Oklahoma. Here are a few more fun things to do in the fall months that are a little bit different from the rest.
Pine Street Forever.
This neighborhood in Texarkana goes all out for Halloween! You’ll find it on Pine street, between 30th and 32nd street in Texarkana, Texas. The displays change a little bit every year and they are fantastic! Plan to pull over and walk in front of the displays to see all the details. Please stay off of the yards, but feel free to take photos and tag them on social media at Pine Street Forever.
Mutiny! At Shreveport Aquarium.
This is one of our favorite family traditions in the fall months. The Shreveport Aquarium transforms into a pirate adventure called Mutiny! Even if you’ve been to the aquarium before, this is a really fun time to visit. There are special characters, events, and a pirate captain to watch out for. You can adventure your way through the aquarium, learning pirate skills and seeing all the creatures along the way. During the month of October there are special events like meet a mermaid and meet Captain Bones. Follow their Facebook page for updates.
Visit the Monster Mart in Fouke.
This hidden gem is a great spot to visit in the spooky season. Have you heard the legend of the Boggy Creek ? The story goes that there have been bigfoot sightings around this tiny town in southwest Arkansas. The Monster Mart is part gas station part museum and it’s a must see if you like quirky attractions. There are some fun photo ops outside and a mini museum inside. Be warned: the statues of the creatures can be pretty scary for younger children. You can buy t-shirts and other fun souvenirs like some water from Boggy Creek itself. The gas station is located at 104 US Hwy 71, Fouke, Arkansas 71837.
Festivals and events.
Paris Festival of Pumpkins.
This beloved annual event will take place on October 24th, 2024. There will be vendors, costume contests, fun fair food, and more. Follow the Paris, Texas tourism page for more information.
