Best Holiday Photo Spots Around Texarkana (2025 Edition)

The Christmas holiday season will forever and always be one of my family and my favorite seasons. The decorations, the coffee shop drink specials, and cozy vibes everywhere are delightful. It’s also a great time of year to grab photos at places around town. I’m a firm believer that every city has something special about it and that includes Texarkana! Luckily, there are lots of holiday photo spots around Texarkana. In this post, I’ll share some of my favorites that we keep visiting year after year. Plus, I also have a link to a custom Google Map for you, that includes all of my favorite photo ops in Texarkana. Contains affiliate links.

State Line Christmas Tree

This is one of the most iconic holiday photo spots in Texarkana! It deserves the top spot because it’s so unique. Each year the cities of Texarkana, AR and Texarkana, TX put a Christmas tree directly on the State Line. It’s a tree in two states! The State Line federal building is the second most photographed federal building in the United States. A fun tip no need to bring a tripod because there’s a helpful selfie stand right there. It can hold your phone and has a threaded spot for a larger camera. Be sure to tag @experiencetexarkana on social media and they might repost your photos!

This art gallery is one of my favorite places in town. It’s whimsical and fun to explore on the inside (there are so many artists!). In December, the exterior transforms into another one of the holiday photo spots in Texarkana. The red phone booth is there year round, but the added giant bells, wreathe and garland make such a beautiful background. Look for the 1894 Art Gallery on the Google Map linked above. Find it at: 105 Olive St, Texarkana, AR 71854.

Alley Cats Coffee Shop Patio

Hop across the street to the next festive photo spot in Texarkana, to Alley Cats Coffee Bar. It’s one of the best coffee shops in Texarkana and it’s also a great photo op! The patio is elevated and the shiny silver train car make a unique background. Be sure to pop inside and get a coffee, tea, or other drink before you head out. The interior is also a fun and colorful spot to take photos. Find it at: 305 E Front St, Texarkana, AR 71854.

Hart’s on Broad Windows

Also on the Arkansas side, is Hart’s on Broad. This adorable gift shop always has the best window decor. They change it out based on the season and the Christmas display does not disappoint. The tiles on the ground out front are also really neat to see. If you’re stopping by during their open hours, head inside and browse the gift shop before you head out. Find it at: 223 E Broad St, Texarkana, AR 71854.

ArtsPark by the Regional Arts Center

Located next to the TRAHC Regional Arts Center, this open air arts park has a sculpture area and an art wall. In December the park also has really beautiful Christmas lights too! Towards the back, there is a large wall called the Art Wall. It usually has Christmas and winter themed art this time of year and it’s a really unique and fun photo op. If you’re there during the open hours for the art gallery at the Regional Arts center, be sure to stop in and check it out, it’s free! Find it at: 317 Main St, Texarkana, TX 75501.

Perot Theatre

The Perot is a historic theatre in Texarkana, Texas. At Christmastime, the windows and canopy are decorated for the holidays and it’s extra magical. It’s a great spot to grab some family photos, especially if you stand at the corner or across the street so you can get the full, sweeping view of the theatre in the background. There is also a cute alley with lights just to the left of the theatre (by the former Pecan Point). For extra fun photo ops, make plans to attend Christmas on Main on December 20th, 2025. There will be an ice skating rink out front of the Perot, “snow,” food trucks, music and more. Find it at: 221 Main St, Texarkana, TX 75501.

Three Chicks Feed & Seed

Three Chicks Feed and Seed is an adorable feed store on the eastern edge of Texarkana, Arkansas. It also has a charming cafe that serves a delicious lunch menu. In addition to being a feed shop they also have a garden center and tons of cute decor. They change their offerings based on the season and it’s such a fun spot to explore and has great Christmas photo ops. Find it at: 4045 Genoa Rd, Texarkana, AR 71854.

Little Country Greenhouse (New Boston, TX)

This spot should really be listed first, but since its technically in New Boston, Texas I put it at the end. Little Country Greenhouse is the epitome of Christmas magic and has all of the festive vibes. They have lots of photo ops, a whimsical winter wonderland shed to walk through, Christmas trees to shop for, plus two huge greenhouses full of plants. Be sure to check out the indoor pond with the goldfish and the little waterfall! Find it at: 1442 Daniels Chapel Rd, New Boston, TX 75570.

Tips for holiday photos around town.

Getting that perfect family photo is 100% possible with just a little planning, and picking the right spot. There are lots of holiday photo spots around Texarkana listed above. Here are a few of my tried and true tips for getting great photos:

  • Go at golden hour – in December this is between 4 and 5 PM. It’s when the sun is lowering towards sunset and casts a pretty rosy glow over everything. You can always get good photos in daylight, but golden hour gives them that extra special vibe.
  • Snap in multiple modes – Get one or two in 1x, 2x, and try portrait mode for that soft background with focus on faces.
  • Make sure the horizon lines are straight – you don’t want a crooked roof or horizon line in your background, so check the grid lines on your phone or just give the back ground a quick glance before you snap the picture.
  • Coordinate but don’t match – too much matching can actually be a distraction. Coordinate with jewel tones, that are rich (darker) colors. Avoid clothing with large logos or words on them.
  • Use a tripod with a bluetooth shutter buttonThis is one of my favorites. (Amazon link) It gets very tall and the bluetooth shutter button connects to your phone so no one has to dash into place in 10 seconds. Plus, you can take multiple photos in a row so you have lots to pick from.

Have fun and thank you.
