The ArkLaTex Adventure Club Winter Bingo is live.

It’s time! The winter holiday season has begun and that means it’s also time for the ArkLaTex Adventure Club Winter Bingo, by coleyraeh. It’s the first time I am doing a winter bingo and I am so excited for all of the fun places that have signed up to be a part of it. The prizes for the bingo are pretty great too. Here’s how it works:

  • From November 1st to January 6th: visit the participating local businesses and events to get stamps to fill in your bingo sheet.
  • Every location and event has their own stamp to use.
  • There are 18 locations with circles, 1 circle with a number, and 5 special events that are numbered.
  • Tacos 4 Life is stamp number 2, that’s all the number means.
  • Fill your bingo sheet with all 19 stamps for a chance to be entered into the final drawing for a two night stay at Willow Creek Cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
  • Each of the events at the bottom count as one extra entry per event, with a maximum of five extra entries.
  • PLUS – everyone who fills their bingo sheet (with the 19 circle locations) will get a FREE, custom ArkLaTex Adventure Club Winter Bingo enamel pin.

Be sure to visit them to earn your stamp and say thank you for all that they do for Texarkana.

Pecan Point Gastropub and Brewery.

Pecan Point is a landmark in downtown Texarkana, thank you to the vision and hard work of Bill Scurlock. He was an incredible person who will be deeply missed in Texarkana. When you visit Pecan Point, stay a moment and raise a glass to his memory. Thank you to the entire Scurlock family for keeping the amazing vision moving forward in Bill’s honor. Pecan Point has incredible microbrew beer flavors along with a changing menu of fantastic mixed drinks specials. They can also accommodate some food allergies. My recommendation: a cocktail drink flight, the duck fat fries, and some of the best white bean chili you’ll ever have in your life. Find it at: 213 Main St Texarkana, TX.

Emmie P’s Bistro and Bakery.

Emmie P’s is a newer restaurant in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas. It is a must visit for breakfast and lunch. They offer great menu all day, with a wide range of options. They have seating on the main floor but, a tip for you, head up the stairs to enjoy one of the most charming places to sit for a meal. Emmie P’s also offers online ordering for breakfast and lunch pick ups along with catering for special events. Be sure to follow their Facebook page to see their weekly specials and fun events. Find them at: 112 Pine St Texarkana, AR.

Perot Theater.

This absolutely stunning theater is such a gem for Texarkana. Built in 1924 it was originally named the Saenger Theater. Over the years it went through several iterations and at one point fell into disrepair. It was restored in the 1980’s thanks to the generous efforts of H. Ross Perot and the Perot Foundation. In 2018 the theater was listed in Architectural Digest as the most beautifully designed theater in Texas. It is home to the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra and also hosts many shows and events. I’ve taken my children there to many shows over the years and feel so lucky to have a place like this in my city. You can get your stamp at the ticket office during business hours. Find it at: 221 Main St Texarkana, TX.

A note: there are THREE bonus stamp opportunities at the Perot Theater. Two symphony shows (November 23, Star Wars and December 15th, Christmas at the Perot) and a holiday event (December 21st, Christmas on Main).

Silvermoon Children’s Theater.

Speaking of theater, did you know that Texarkana has an incredible children’s theater? Every single show at Silvermoon Children’s Theater has always been top notch! To close out the 2023 and 2024 season, they will be performing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! The show has two full casts of kids, so more could be involved in the show. I’m proud to say that my daughter is involved with this theater and this will be her sixth main stage show! At Silvermoon, it’s so much more than theater as they learn important life lessons to carry on as they grow up. Tickets are available now and these shows will sell out, so don’t wait! Get tickets here. Find the theater at: 217 W Broad St Texarkana, TX.

Silvermoon Children’s Theater also offers classes on different topics during the school year and several camps throughout the summer.

The Mustard Seed.

If you’ve ever searched for a unique or hard to find spice, The Mustard Seed Spice Market should be on your list. They have a huge variety of herbs and spices, including many kinds of salts. You can buy the spices in bulk and they will weigh out what you need. It’s a very fun shopping experience! For tea drinkers, they have a huge wall of loose leaf tea! From classics like chai and chamomile to more exotic teas as well. The Mustard Seed also has holiday gift baskets, kitchen accessories, and high quality olive oil in different kinds. They are on the ArkLaTex Adventure Club Winter Bingo and ready with their stamp. This adorable boutique has a great variety of new books, including a young adult and children’s section. They also have Rowe Casa products, charming stickers, cups, and accessories, clothing, and some neat planners. While you’re there, be sure to enjoy the large mural on the back wall. Salty Boutique and Books also partners with Fairy Tale Garden and Farm to have story hour events! They do not have social media (intentionally) but they have an email list so you’ll always know what’s going on. Find Salty at: 236 Richmond Ranch Rd Texarkana, TX, by Target.

Back to Roots.

If you’ve been looking for more health conscious food items, look to Back to Roots, a new health market in Texarkana, Texas. This natural leaning grocery store has a wide range of foods, body care, and home care items. As someone who lives with Celiac Disease and a wide range of food allergies, I am always grateful for more options for me to shop. Back To Roots is also open on Saturdays! It is so fun to walk the aisles and check out the products they have in. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just have a chat with the owners. They are so kind and helpful and will try to order in what they can. Be sure to follow their Instagram page for sneak peaks at new shipments. One thing I love about Back to Roots is how they work to partner with other local businesses like Better Bits Bakery (gluten free bakery) and Fairy Tale Farm (cottage bakery) for pop up shops. Find them at: 2315 Richmond Rd Texarkana, TX.

SlingFit TXK.

Have you ever seen videos of bungee fitness? I can confirm, its really as fun as it looks! Did you know that we have a bungee fitness studio right here in Texarkana?! SlingFit Texarkana is a boutique fitness studio on the Arkansas side, just off Highway 82. In addition to bungee fitness they have a yoga studio for yoga classes of different levels and some other fitness classes. SlingFit also has a cute boutique to shop before or after class. The studio can also do private classes for you and your friends. For the summer bingo, I roped a bunch of friends into coming with me to try it out and we had a great time.
