ArkLaTex Adventure Club: Summer Bingo

What is the ArkLaTex Adventure Club?

Well, to begin, let’s define the ArkLaTex. It’s a region in the south central United States, where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas come together. I like to include southeast Oklahoma as well, which makes it the “four states region.” Texarkana, a city that splits the state line of Arkansas and Texas, sits at the heart of this area. I began working as a content creator on my main page, Coleyraeh, in 2018. In January of 2024, I launched this blog, which paved the way for the ArkLaTex Adventure Club. It’s a group on Facebook for adventurers of all ages. The group focuses on loving where you live, proving that the ArkLaTex isn’t just a fly over or drive through area. It’s a place to stop, stay awhile, and have some fun! Oh and ps – soon we will have t-shirts!

What is the ArklaTex Adventure Club summer bingo?

My very first project with the ArkLaTex Adventure Club is the summer 2024 bingo! There are 20 locations across Texarkana that signed up! Each location has their own custom ArkLaTex Adventure Club stamp. Over the summer, until August 18th, you can visit each participating location to get your stamp. Every full bingo card will receive a custom ArkLaTex Adventure Club sticker and be entered into a drawing for a Yeti Tundra 65! It is free to participate in the bingo and you can get your bingo sheet here.

Summer Bingo: Food and Restaurants

Thank you to these headline sponsors for supporting the ArkLaTex Adventure Club Summer Bingo! These are some of my favorite restaurants and places in Texarkana. Bonus: they all offer gluten free options on their menus!

Graham Slam Bakery.

This super fun bakery is my one of my favorites! Graham Slam Bakery is located at 1201 Arkansas Blvd, Texarkana, Arkansas, right next to Old Tyme Burger Shoppe. They have made my children’s birthday cakes for years and they can make even the wildest themes come to life, even something like “Lisa Frank and go crazy.” Graham Slam’s cases are always full of cookies, cupcakes, and lots of beautiful desserts! They also have macaroons and keto cookies that are gluten free! This summer, you can also check out Squid Ink while you’re there and grab a tasty lemonade to go with your sweet treat. Bonus: the bakery is incredibly “Instagrammable” with it’s cute backdrops and the neon sign. Get your stamp from Graham Slam during their normal business hours.

Lost Pizza Company.

Lost Pizza Company is the place for fun, a great menu, and a unique place to hang out. It’s also one of the best pizza restaurants in Texarkana. See if you can spot the Longhorn adorned car out front. Personally, I love the Blues Brothers that greet you on your way in! This restaurant has a huge menu and their pizza menu amazing. Lost Pizza Company has a wonderful patio that’s great all year round. Occasionally there will be live music and other events, so be sure to follow their Facebook page for updates. I highly recommend the Popeye or the Happy Hippie on cauliflower crust! Check out Lost Pizza Co at 4206 Gibson Lane, Texarkana, Texas.

Pecan Point Gastropub and Brewery.

This great place is located on the Texas side in downtown Texarkana, right next to the iconic Perot Theater. Pecan Point is a microbrewery and gastropub that focuses on a unique and seasonally changing menu. They keep some staples year round, like their ever popular duck fat fries, fish and chips, honey butter chicken, and an epic cheeseburger. The chef is ever attentive to menu questions and always willing to make adjustments to accommodate. Luckily, they always have an incredible salad menu and one or two gluten free menu items. Their Swampoodle IPA is always popular, along with the Pecan Point Ale. This summer they have a beer flight and a mixed drink flight that are both delicious! The atmosphere is delightfully chill and welcoming. Grab your stamp and stay a while to enjoy a beer, a cocktail, and some food.

Summer Bingo: Coffee Shops.

Texarkana has some great coffee shops. There are several great local spots on the summer bingo! Here are two of the headline sponsors in the coffee shop category, so make plans to go visit them and grab your stamp.

Roosters Coffee.

Roosters Coffee is a drive up coffee spot on the southwest corner of Texarkana. It is inside the cutest little yellow building which you can’t miss off of Highway 59. Their menu covers all kinds of coffee drinks, energy drinks, and non-coffee options too. They partner with a local small bakery to have sugar cookies and other fun treats. Roosters has a delicious seasonal menu that rotates and the summer “honeysuckle latte” special is so good! The service is quick and with a smile. A bonus: they even have gluten free cookies and the birthday cake flavor was one of the best I’ve ever had. Visit Roosters Coffee at 5884 US 59 S, Texarkana, Texas and enjoy a drink and get your stamp.

Local Habit Coffee.

While technically in Nash, Texas, we like to claim Local Habit as being part of Texarkana too! This charming coffee shop is located in a renovated house at 330 E New Boston Rd Nash, Texas. It’s a green house and you can’t miss it. Local Habit has a drive through option as well. Inside, you’ll find plenty of cozy seating and places to sit to work, along with outlets. Upstairs, there is a meeting room available for rent. Outside they have a beautiful patio that’s also a great photo op. Local Habit serves delicious third wave coffee, hot or iced plus a few non coffee drinks and baked goods. Be sure to follow their social media pages for updates about events and seasonal drink specials.

Let me know if you have questions. Silvermoon Children’s Theatre is an absolute gem in Texarkana, Texas. They are the only youth theater program in the area, and it’s open to students from any school district as well as homeschoolers. As they say, theater is also life training and there are many wonderful life lesson moments for the actors. Silvermoon has three main stage productions per season and they are always amazing!
