Rooster’s Coffee.
This super fun coffee stop in southwest Texarkana is a perfect spot to start (or finish) your magical explorations. They will be having drink specials and cookies to celebrate a certain famous boy wizard’s birthday. Specials that would make even a half giant pretty happy. Check out Rooster’s Coffee Co , located at 5884 US – 59 Texarkana, Texas.

The Station Stop Café (Alley Cats Coffee).
Every magical journey begins at the train station. Grab a cozy drink and fuel up before heading out. This charming spot makes the perfect launchpad. Just imagine the train is whisking you off for your magical adventure. You can “board the train” at the wooden platform at Alley Cats Coffee Bar and imagine you’re riding the rails on your way to your wizard inspired adventure in Texarkana.

The Wandering Way (Broad Street, Downtown TXK).
Let’s reimagine Broad Street as a lively downtown alley way, filled with quirky shops and hidden gems. Think of it as your local version of a magical marketplace. What will you discover today? Hot spots to add to your list: Harts on Main, The Dressmaker’s Shop (for a cloak perhaps), That Vintage Vibe, the 1894 Gallery and Crystal Moon.
The Crystal Cauldron (Crystal Moon).
Crystals, herbs, mystical energy. This is your stop for magical supplies, intuitive tools, and a whole lot of enchanted ambiance. If you look closely, you just might find a wand that chooses you. Crystal Moon is in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas.
The Oak & Ember (Pecan Point Gastropub).
Hearty fare, warm lighting, and the hum of good company . This spot feels like the tavern where traveling wizards meet after a long day of adventures. Besides, I think the duck fat fries are pretty magically delicious. Pecan Point is located in downtown Texarkana, Texas, next to another maybe magical spot, the Perot Theatre.
The Creature Companions Shop (PetSmart).
Need an owl? A cat? Maybe a toad? While you won’t find magical creatures here, it’s still fun to imagine which furry (or scaly, or feathered) friend might choose you. As for me, I’ll stick with something of the canine variety.
The Quill & Quirk Bookshop (Books-A-Million).
Stacked with stories and spell-worthy reads, this is your go-to for (maybe) magical books. Bonus points if you find something on magical plants, ancient runes, or mythical beasts! It’s every aspiring wizard’s spot to stock up on books and textbooks.
The Whispering Woods (Bringle Lake Trails).
Wander under tall trees, listen for the rustle of creatures, and imagine you’re walking through an ancient forest where magical secrets are waiting to be discovered. Just don’t be afraid of the dark, and mind the vines and branches, they just might try to grab you. Be sure to look for the gnome homes of Gnomington Forest if you’re taking a stroll along the more narrow trails (behind the trail map sign at Bringle Lake East).
The Vault of Wonders (State Line Post Office & Courthouse).
Imposing and grand, this building feels like the kind of place that might house secret ledgers, ancient vaults, and very important magical affairs. You can walk inside the State Line Post Office and Courthouse, just be sure to go in the right side of the building (the Arkansas, post office, side). Then snap a selfie on the state line to commemorate your wizard inspired adventure in Texarkana.
The Hidden Mug (The Stained Page Coffeeshop).
Tucked away in downtown Texarkana, Texas, you’ll find the “Hidden Mug” aka The Stained Page .This cozy cafe feels like the kind of place where maybe magical folk gather to sip tea or coffee, swap secrets, and prepare for their next quest. Be sure to browse the books while you’re there too. PS – they will have a wizard inspired drink for the July 26th weekend as well! Last we checked, there were a few Harry Potter books for sale there also.

Charmstead Village (Downtown Atlanta, TX).
A short journey from Texarkana will take you to Atlanta, Texas. The downtown square and surrounding area is walkable and filled with character and charm. It’s the perfect place to imagine an escape to a magical village.
The Ministry Annex (City Hall, Texarkana AR or TX).
Some serious magical business happens here. Or maybe it’s just City Hall. Either way, it’s easy to imagine spell casters in suits making big decisions behind those walls. Visit either city hall, or snap a selfie out front, to commemorate your wizard inspired adventure in Texarkana.
The Academy of Arcane Arts (Regional Arts Center).
Welcome to your “school of magic.” This grand and creative arts center, housed in a historic building, could easily double as your school of magic. Spend time creating or admiring magical works. The Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council, Regional Arts Center can be your wizard school with just a little imagination. There’s even a dramatic staircase to add to the magical vibes.

The Enchanted Underground (1923 Banana Club or The Wild Hare).
A little mysterious and a little mischievous, both of these tucked away spaces feels like the kind of place upper level students sneak off to when no one’s watching. One is a little more hidden than the other and just depends on the magical vibe you’re after. 1923 Banana Club is in the basement of the 1894 Building and The Wild Hare is on Broad Street, both in downtown Texarkana, Arkansas.
The Ever-Changing Room (Treasure Trove Flea Market).
Need something that you didn’t even know you needed? This ever-changing marketplace is full of unexpected treasures, just like a certain magical room that appears when needed most. Browse the endless stalls at this skating rink turned flea market and see if you can also spot the disco ball that’s still there. Don’t forget to snap up those treasures you spot before they disappear.
The Curiosity Cellar (Olive Street Vintiques).
A vintage wonderland of mysterious objects, forgotten relics, and the occasional curious vibe. Olive Street Vintiques gives the best magical and mysterious vibes. You never know what you’ll find and there’s sure to be something fantastic, and maybe a little magic. It’s not so much dark and dusty, but it sure is unique and seems like just the spot to hide a certain cabinet of unique traits.

The Hall of Magical Records (Texarkana Public Library).
Stacked with wisdom and knowledge, this is where you’d go to research ancient spells, unlock a family secret, or get lost in magical history. Or maybe you just want to check out a stack of books to keep you busy for the week. Either way, libraries (everywhere) are magical in my book. The Texarkana Public Library is located in downtown Texarkana, Texas and open on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
The Sugar Wand Shop (Taste & See Ice Cream & Candies).
Colorful, sweet, and magical in every way. Taste & See is your local candy shop experience. Don’t forget to try the wide variety of chocolates, sweets, cold treats, and more. Plus , they have coffee and tea if sweets aren’t your thing. PS – they may not have chocolate frogs but they do have gummy frogs that are pretty delicious!
The Hall of Magical History (Texarkana Regional History Museum).
Every magical town needs a place to remember its roots. Visit the Regional History Museum to learn about the legends, leaders, and local “magic” that shaped Texarkana and the surrounding area. Did you know that the original post office was in a different location? Be sure to check out the art tractor out front as well and snap a selfie with your favorite side (Arkansas versus Texas).
